Workshop, Jewellery - October 24 & 31

Please contact me if you are interested in joining this workshop. I may change the November classes to jewellery if there is no interest in air dry clay! I will also hold another class or series so will be able to keep you in the loop.

Wax Jewellery Class -  This beginners workshop covers the designing and making of a ring using jeweller’s wax that will then be cast into sterling silver.

Over two nights, you will carve and shape your ring from a wax blank. Your wax will then be sent away to be cast into sterling silver and returned to you a couple of weeks following. On the first night we’ll focus on getting you comfortable and familiar with carving wax and getting those ideas flowing. We’ll make a start on shaping your ring. The next week,  we’ll finish off and perfect your design so you're happy with it. You may even have time to make something else! (Additional casting charge $60).

All materials provided.

Very limited class size, just 8 places available.

Depending on interest, there will be further classes for those interested in developing their jewellery skills further.

What to bring:

• Ideas! Though no pressure on this side of things, we will come up with an idea that works for you.
• Rings you like to wear as a bit of inspo and for discussion.
• Casual clothes, it’s not too messy but you don’t want to be worried about getting wax on you. BYO an apron if you like.
• If you’re coming straight from work and haven’t had time for dinner feel free to bring food with you. There will be time for you to eat at the beginning of the night while I’m talking through everything. Tea & coffee provided.

CANCELLATIONS

No refunds will be issued to those who cancel in the week (7 days) prior to the workshop. We are all busy people and it’s hard to fill a space at short notice. Please be committed to attending when you book. If you really do have to cancel, your refund will be minus the $7 website transaction fee.
